Day 100 – Theme: The King’s Mission Fulfilled — The Cross and the Crown

Today’s Reading: Luke 23–24; John 1–8

Wednesday, 8th October 2025

Introduction

Congratulations! You have reached Day 100 of your Bible reading journey — a remarkable milestone. Today’s reading takes us to the climax of Jesus’ earthly ministry. Luke 23–24 recounts His suffering, crucifixion, death, and glorious resurrection, while John 1–8 introduces the divine nature of Christ as the Word made flesh and the beginning of His ministry of signs and revelation.

These chapters reveal the depth of God’s love and faithfulness. Jesus bears the weight of humanity’s sin, triumphs over death, and offers eternal life to all who believe. Reaching this point in your reading is a testament to your perseverance, dedication, and desire to grow in God’s Word. Let this encourage you to continue pressing on as you see God’s plan unfold through history and into your life.

Who is God?

God is the Redeemer who fulfills His promises. He is sovereign over history, faithful to His Word, and mighty to save. Through the cross, He reveals His justice and His mercy, His holiness and His love, offering salvation to all who turn to Him.

What are the ways of God?

God’s ways are redemptive and victorious. He brings life out of death, hope out of despair, and triumph out of suffering. His plans often unfold through sacrifice and obedience, and He calls us to trust His purpose even when the path is difficult. Through Christ’s ministry and resurrection, He demonstrates that no power — not even death — can thwart His will.

What are His characters?

God is faithful, merciful, powerful, and victorious. He is steadfast in love, righteous in judgment, and unstoppable in fulfilling His purposes. His heart is to seek and save the lost and to bring them into eternal fellowship with Him.

Golden Nugget

“The cross is not the end — it is the doorway to resurrection life. Through it, God turns defeat into victory and death into everlasting life.”

Prayer

Father, thank You for the cross and the victory of the resurrection. Thank You for sustaining me to reach this milestone in my Bible reading.
