Day 76: Persevering in God’s Mission

Today’s Reading: Jeremiah 11–20

Date: Sunday, 14th September 2025

To the Faithful Readers

Today’s chapters highlight Jeremiah’s struggle as a prophet called to deliver God’s message in a resistant and rebellious nation. Jeremiah 11–20 emphasizes perseverance, faithfulness, and reliance on God even when opposition is fierce. As you read, reflect on the courage it takes to remain steadfast in your calling and the comfort of God’s presence in every challenge.

Reading Instructions

Read Jeremiah 11–20 carefully. Note the conflicts Jeremiah faces, the warnings he delivers, and the emotional weight of prophetic responsibility. Reflect on how God equips and strengthens those He calls, even amid rejection and hostility.

  • The Sovereign Planner – He knows the hearts of all people and orchestrates events according to His purposes (Jeremiah 11:20).

  • The Protector of His Servants – God promises strength and support to those who carry His message (Jeremiah 15:20).

  • The Just Judge – He holds rebellious nations accountable for their disobedience (Jeremiah 19:15).

2. What Are the Ways of God?

  • God calls His people to persevere and faithfully fulfill His mission.

  • God allows trials to refine and strengthen those He uses for His purposes.

  • God warns of the consequences of rebellion and disobedience.

  • God encourages His servants to trust Him fully, even when circumstances seem overwhelming.

3. What Is His Character?

  • Faithful – He equips and strengthens His chosen ones.

  • Just – He punishes sin and rebellion appropriately.

  • Patient – He gives time for repentance and growth.

  • Sovereign – His purposes cannot be thwarted by human opposition.

Golden Nugget

Faithfulness often comes with trials, but God’s presence and guidance make perseverance possible. Those who remain steadfast in His mission will not be forsaken.

Textured Paper

Let us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us give Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb has come [at last]

and HIS BRIDE (the redeemed) HAS PREPARED HERSELF.”

She has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean—for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

Then the angel said to me,

“Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”And he said to me [further],

“These are the true

and exact words of God.”
