DO NOT LOSE YOUR FIRST LOVE

Scripture

"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love." — Revelation 2:4

Message

It is possible to remain busy with the things of God while slowly drifting away from God Himself. The church at Ephesus had works, patience, discernment, and perseverance, yet Jesus identified something missing: their first love.

God is not merely looking for our activity; He desires our hearts. Prayer, service, ministry, evangelism, and sacrifice become powerful when they flow from genuine love for Christ. Without love, even good works can become routine.

Revival begins when our hearts return to Jesus. Before we ask God to change our communities, nations, and churches, we must allow Him to search and renew our own hearts.

Today, ask yourself: Is my passion for Jesus still alive? Has prayer become a duty instead of a delight? Has Scripture become information instead of transformation? Return to the Lord with your whole heart. The fire can burn again.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, restore my first love for You. Remove every distraction, routine, and spiritual coldness that has taken my attention away from Christ. Renew my hunger for Your Word, prayer, and fellowship with You. Let my life flow from genuine love for Jesus and become a testimony of Your transforming power.
