And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. — Matthew 28:18
Message
Authority is the language of the new season. Without it, crossing over is incomplete. You may step into promise, but without establishing authority, you are susceptible to the very forces that sought to delay or derail you before. Authority is not earned through effort; it is received and exercised through alignment with God’s will and Spirit-led obedience.
Every new season is a spiritual territory. Gates have been opened, but if you do not step in as one who carries God’s mandate, the enemy will test the boundaries. Authority is not passive; it is declarative. It aligns your life with God’s purposes, enforces spiritual laws, and sustains the blessings of the season.
Establishing authority begins inwardly. It starts with your mind: recognizing your position in Christ, declaring His promises over your life, and refusing to revisit fear, doubt, or old strongholds. The heart must also submit fully: surrendering personal ambition, bitterness, and compromise. Authority cannot coexist with divided loyalty.
Externally, authority expresses itself in action. Decisions are made with confidence. Prayer is bold. Boundaries are enforced—not with anger, but with faith. Habits that once gave the enemy footholds are broken. Choices now honor the new season rather than cling to the comfort of the old.
Many believers enter new seasons but remain passive, waiting for circumstances to align. God never intended for His people to wait passively. Authority is active. Jesus taught His disciples to heal the sick, cast out demons, and exercise dominion over circumstances. The mandate of the new season is the same: step in, decree, enforce, and walk without hesitation.
Authority is also relational. It influences your sphere—your home, workplace, ministry, and community. A believer who walks in authority releases peace where there was chaos, clarity where there was confusion, and progress where there was delay. Others who are weak or wavering sense the strength of alignment with God.
Finally, authority is maintained by vigilance. The enemy will always test the gates. The difference between temporary victories and sustained breakthrough is consistent alignment with God’s Word, obedience to His Spirit, and refusal to allow old patterns or cycles to regain entry.
To establish authority in the new season is to take your rightful position as a steward of God’s promises. It is to declare, “This season belongs to God, and I will enforce His will on earth as it is in heaven.”
Golden Nugget
Authority is not claimed; it is exercised through obedience, alignment, and the Spirit-led declaration of God’s Word.

Prayer
Father, I step into the new season with the authority You have given me in Christ Jesus. I reject every spirit of fear, hesitation, and compromise that seeks to undermine my mandate. Strengthen me to walk boldly, enforce Your will in my life, and influence my territory for Your glory. Let every gate remain secure under Your authority, and let Your purposes manifest through me without delay. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
