Scripture:
Exodus 33:11 — “The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend…”
Message:
There is no encounter more intimate, more life-altering, than seeing God face to face. This is not about physical sight—it is about spiritual proximity. Moses didn’t just receive commandments from God; he shared friendship, conversation, and nearness that changed the trajectory of a nation.
God invites you into that same kind of closeness. Jesus tore the veil, not just so you could be forgiven, but so you could enter—into friendship, into presence, into face-to-face communion.
To be “face to face” means nothing is hidden. It’s a posture of honesty and awe, where masks fall away, pretenses die, and you see Him—and yourself—clearly. In this place, fear melts, burdens lift, and identity is affirmed. You are not merely tolerated; you are known and loved.
This face-to-face encounter is not reserved for mountaintop moments only. Through the Holy Spirit, you are invited daily into the tent of meeting—to speak, to listen, to wait, and to walk away radiant like Moses.
Let this final day be a reminder that God’s nearness is not a devotional series; it’s a daily reality. You were created for His Presence. And His Presence is not a place—it is a Person who longs to dwell with you.
Golden Nugget:
God doesn’t just want servants—He longs for friends who dwell face to face with Him.
Further Study:
John 15:15 — “I have called you friends…”
2 Corinthians 3:18 — “We… behold the glory of the Lord… and are being transformed.”
Psalm 27:8 — “My heart says of You, ‘Seek His face!’ Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
Prayer:
Lord, I desire to live face to face with You. Not just in moments of need, but every day. Remove all that dulls my hunger or distracts my focus. Let my friendship with You grow deeper. Speak to me, walk with me, shape me. Let Your Presence mark my life. Amen.
Activation Challenge:
Find a quiet place. Close your eyes. Say: “Speak, Lord, Your friend is listening.”Wait in stillness. Journal whatever you hear or sense—even impressions, peace, or conviction. End this 7-day journey by thanking Him for being near.
