Scripture
Psalm 85:6 — “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?”
Message
Every generation reaches a point where it must cry out again, “Lord, revive us!”When the flame grows dim and the altar grows cold, when worship becomes performance and truth becomes opinion, only a fresh visitation of God’s Spirit can bring life again.
Revival is not a new concept — it is Heaven’s response to a desperate people. It is God bending low to breathe again upon what has withered, to restore what has been lost, and to awaken hearts that once burned but now merely glow.
There are moments when the Church becomes efficient but empty — busy but barren. Our gatherings are full, yet our altars are silent. We preach, but few are pierced; we sing, but few are changed. In such a time, programs cannot save us; it is only the presence of God that can make dry bones live again.
When David cried, “Revive us again,” he understood that revival begins not in the streets, but in the soul. It starts when men and women bow in brokenness and cry for mercy. God revives not those who are impressive, but those who are repentant. He draws near not to the eloquent, but to the contrite in heart.
Revival is not a series of meetings — it is the reappearance of God’s glory among His people. When He comes, conviction falls like rain, worship becomes holy fire, and love overflows beyond human understanding. The lukewarm are ignited, the prodigals return, and even the unbelieving begin to tremble at the nearness of His presence.
Beloved, we are living in days when darkness multiplies quickly — but revival is Heaven’s answer to decay. God is not finished with His Church. The same Spirit who moved at Pentecost still longs to move today. The question is not whether God will revive us, but whether we will humble ourselves enough to ask Him.
This is the hour to cry again: “Lord, revive me! Revive my altar, revive my passion, revive my love for You!” When God revives a soul, that soul becomes a flame — and when enough flames unite, nations begin to burn with the fire of His glory.
Golden Nugget
Revival begins when God’s people stop managing their emptiness and start crying out for His presence.
