Scripture:
Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. — Amos 3:7
Devotional Message:
Friendship with God reaches its deepest point when He trusts you with His heart. True friends are not just called to enjoy His blessings, but to feel His burdens. Abraham heard God’s intention concerning Sodom before judgment fell. Moses stood in the gap for Israel when they provoked God’s anger. Jesus invited His disciples into Gethsemane, asking them to watch and pray with Him in His hour of sorrow.
To be a friend of God is to let your heart beat in rhythm with His — to weep over what He weeps over, to rejoice in what delights Him, and to act when His Spirit moves you. It is to become an intercessor, a vessel through which His will is birthed on earth. God does not share His secrets lightly; He reveals them to those He knows will respond, not just listen.
When God whispers a burden to you in prayer, it’s not for conversation alone — it’s a divine invitation to partner with Him in bringing change. The question is: can He trust you with His secrets without you turning away?
Golden Nugget:
God shares His secrets with friends who will carry His burdens until heaven’s will touches the earth.

Prayer:
Lord, make me a faithful friend who carries Your burdens with reverence and obedience. Break my heart for what breaks Yours, and teach me to stand in the gap until Your will is done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Activation Challenge:
Today, in prayer, ask God to share one burden from His heart with you. When He reveals it, respond immediately — whether in intercession, an act of obedience, or a word of encouragement to someone He places on your heart.
