The Fire Must Never Go Out

Scripture:

Leviticus 6:12–13 — “The fire on the altar shall be kept burning; it shall not be put out.”

Message:

The altar was central to Israel's worship—not only because of sacrifice, but because of the fire. God Himself kindled the fire when the altar was first consecrated, but it was the priest’s job to keep it burning day and night. In the same way, when God ignites a fire in your heart through salvation or encounter, it becomes your responsibility to maintain it.

A prayer altar that lacks consistency becomes a monument, not a meeting place. Many believers lose spiritual ground not because God has moved away, but because they let the fire die. The altar of your life must be tended daily—through repentance, worship, Word meditation, and deep communion with the Holy Spirit.

If the fire goes out, darkness creeps back in. But if the fire burns bright, your life becomes a vessel through which God transforms families, cities, and nations.

Golden Nugget:

God lights the fire, but you must keep it burning.

Prayer:

Lord my God, ignite again the holy fire upon the altar of my heart. I confess every moment I have allowed the flames to dim through distraction, complacency, or sin. Forgive me for the times I offered You cold routines instead of burning worship.

I lay myself down—spirit, soul, and body—as a living sacrifice. Let Your fire consume every part of me that does not reflect You. Burn away pride, selfish ambition, hidden idols, and every competing desire. Strip me of all that dulls my hunger for You.

Teach me to be faithful in the secret place, to tend the altar daily with fresh obedience, unwavering devotion, and pure adoration. May my life never settle for sparks of yesterday, but burn unceasingly with fresh flames of love.

Make me a fire-brand in Your hands, a vessel through which Your glory can rest. Let my life be a continual offering that shifts atmospheres, draws heaven to earth, and causes others to hunger for You.

Never let the fire go out. Make me an altar that burns for You—day and night, until You come again.

In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

and HIS BRIDE (the redeemed) HAS PREPARED HERSELF.”

She has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean—for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

Then the angel said to me,

“Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”And he said to me [further],

“These are the true

and exact words of God.”
