Scripture
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.”— John 4:24
Message
The human spirit is the deepest part of our being and the primary channel through which we connect with God. While the body relates to the physical world and the soul processes thoughts, choices, and emotions, the spirit is designed for communion with God.
At salvation, the human spirit is regenerated by the Holy Spirit. What was once spiritually dead becomes alive and responsive to God. This rebirth enables fellowship, discernment, and spiritual understanding.
God does not primarily communicate through emotions or circumstances, but through the spirit. Scripture calls the spirit “the lamp of the Lord,” revealing that it is the place where God brings light, conviction, and direction.
When the spirit is neglected, the soul and body begin to dominate, leading to confusion and spiritual dullness. But when the spirit is nurtured through prayer, the Word, worship, obedience, and stillness, spiritual sensitivity is sharpened.
A spirit-led life brings order and peace. When the spirit leads, the soul aligns with truth, and the body submits to righteousness. This is God’s design for spiritual maturity and intimacy.
Beloved, God desires fellowship more than performance. Learning to live from the spirit restores intimacy and keeps us aligned with heaven.
