Scripture:
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
Message:
Before the Gospel transforms nations, it must first transform your neighborhood. Missions is not just about crossing oceans—it’s about crossing the street. Your "Jerusalem" is your home, your workplace, your gym, and the grocery store. The Great Commission begins with the people closest to you.
Too often, we think missions require a passport when God has already placed divine appointments in our daily routines. Every smile, every act of kindness, every word of encouragement is a seed planted for the Kingdom. The Gospel isn’t just preached—it’s lived in the way we love, serve, and engage with those around us.
Ask yourself today: Who in my life needs to see Jesus in me? Your neighbor, your coworker, the barista who makes your coffee—they are your first mission field.
Golden Nugget:
You don’t have to go far to change the world—start with the person next to you.
Further Study:
Mark 5:19 – Jesus told the healed demoniac, "Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you." Your testimony is powerful right where you are.
Luke 10:27 – "Love your neighbor as yourself." True mission work begins with love in action.
