Scripture:
Revelation 19:7 – “Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.”
Message
The story of Scripture ends not merely with a battle but with a wedding — the marriage of the Lamb and His Bride. This is the ultimate purpose behind all of God’s dealings with humanity: to prepare a people who are holy, spotless, and deeply in love with Him. If the Church is God’s end-time army in warfare, she is also His beloved Bride in intimacy. These two dimensions are not contradictory; they are inseparable. We fight to defend the honor of our King, and we purify ourselves because we long to be united with Him forever.
The language of the Bride is deeply intimate. It speaks of covenant love, deep devotion, and wholehearted surrender. The Bride is not casual about her relationship; she is consumed with desire for the Bridegroom. She lives for His pleasure, seeks His will above all else, and prepares herself for His coming. This is what God is doing with the Church today — purifying her, refining her, calling her out of compromise, and inviting her into deeper intimacy with Him.
But preparation is not automatic. Revelation 19:7 says, “the Bride has made herself ready.” Readiness requires intentional choices. It is a call to holiness in an age of moral darkness. It is a call to intimacy in a time of distraction. It is a call to first love in a culture of apathy. It is a call to surrender when self-will and comfort are worshipped. The Bride makes herself ready by cleansing her garments — rejecting sin, renouncing worldliness, and walking in righteousness by the Spirit.
This preparation also involves learning the ways of the Bridegroom. Many know about Christ, but few know His heart. To be His Bride is to know His desires and align with them. It means grieving over what grieves Him, rejoicing over what delights Him, and longing for what He longs for — the nations redeemed, righteousness established, and His glory revealed. As the Bride grows in intimacy, she also grows in authority. Only those who walk closely with Him will share in His end-time purposes.
Today, God is shaking everything that can be shaken — in the Church and in the world — not to destroy, but to purify and awaken His Bride. He is calling us away from lukewarmness and compromise into fiery devotion. He is teaching us to live as those betrothed, not flirting with the world but longing for the day of consummation when the Bridegroom returns. Every trial, every pruning, every delay is part of His preparation — refining us so we may stand before Him pure and radiant.
The question is not whether Christ will return — He surely will. The question is: Will we be ready? The greatest tragedy would be to be part of the Church but not part of the Bride — to attend the gatherings but miss the wedding. Heaven is preparing for the wedding feast. The Spirit and the Bride are crying out, “Come, Lord Jesus!” Now is the time to prepare. Now is the time to purify ourselves as He is pure. Now is the time to fall deeply in love with Him.
Golden Nugget
The highest calling of the Church is not just to serve as an army but to be prepared as a Bride — pure, devoted, and passionately in love with the Bridegroom.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, awaken my heart to my bridal calling. Strip away every compromise, distraction, and worldly desire. Teach me to live with oil in my lamp and my garments white. I long to know You deeply, to walk in purity, and to be ready for Your return. Make me part of the Bride who lives for Your pleasure and awaits You with burning love. Amen.
Activation Challenge
Set aside intentional time this week to cultivate intimacy with God. Silence distractions, spend unhurried time in worship and the Word, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas of compromise that must be surrendered. Live each day as one preparing for a wedding — with joyful expectancy and unwavering devotion.
