THE HEART BEHIND KINGDOM AUTHORITY
Scripture
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 2:5
Message
God's Kingdom is not simply concerned with what we do; He is deeply concerned with the heart from which we do it.
It is possible to have influence without humility, authority without love, knowledge without wisdom, and responsibility without compassion. But this is not the pattern Jesus gave us.
Jesus had authority, yet He served. He had power, yet He humbled Himself. He was Lord, yet He washed His disciples' feet.
This reveals an important principle: Kingdom authority must be carried with Kingdom character.
If God is going to work through us, He wants our hearts to reflect His heart. Our leadership should not crush people but help them grow. Our influence should not draw attention to ourselves but point people toward Christ.
Today, ask God to examine not only your actions but your motives.
Why do you want influence? Why do you want recognition? Why do you desire authority?
Let the answer increasingly become: “Lord, use me for Your purposes.”
Golden Nugget
The greatest evidence of Kingdom authority is not how many people obey you, but how faithfully your life reflects the heart of Christ.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, give me Your heart. Teach me to lead with humility, serve with love, and use every opportunity You give me to bless others. Purify my motives and remove the desire for selfish recognition. May my authority never become a reason to exalt myself, but an opportunity to serve and glorify You. Let the character of Christ be evident in my life.
In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
