Scripture:
“The LORD confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them.” — Psalm 25:14 (NIV)
Devotional Message:
A friend of God is someone who doesn’t just talk to Him but listens intently for His counsel. Friendship with God opens the door to divine secrets — things not revealed to the casual believer. Abraham experienced this when God chose to disclose His plans for Sodom to him. Moses experienced it when God spoke with him “face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.”
Walking in God’s counsel means you value His voice above every other voice — even your own opinions. It’s a posture of the heart where you say, “Lord, I will not move until I hear from You.” Such friendship requires both reverence and intimacy. Reverence keeps you humble; intimacy keeps you close. The more you learn to walk in God’s counsel, the more your life will reflect His wisdom, purpose, and timing.
Golden Nugget:
God does not share His secrets with everyone, but He will reveal them to His friends who walk in awe of Him.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the privilege of being called Your friend. Teach me to walk in Your counsel daily. Help me to silence every competing voice so I can hear and follow You without hesitation.
Activation Challenge: Today, set aside at least one uninterrupted hour to wait on God. Bring a notebook and pen, ask Him to speak to you, and write down whatever He shows you.
