Day 102: The Power of the Resurrection and the Birth of the Church

Today’s Reading: John 19–21; Acts 1–7

Friday, 10th October 2025

Introduction

Congratulations on reaching Day 102 of your Bible journey! You’ve now arrived at one of the most powerful turning points in all of Scripture — the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, followed by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts.

In these chapters, the story of redemption reaches its climax. The cross, once a symbol of shame, becomes the altar of victory. The empty tomb declares that death has been defeated. And from the upper room, the early Church is born in fire and boldness. This is not just history — it’s the living foundation of our faith and the beginning of our mission as witnesses to the ends of the earth.

You’ve come far in this Bible Marathon — may today’s reading remind you why we run this race: because Jesus lives, and His Spirit empowers us to continue His work.

Who is God?

God is the Redeemer and the Giver of Life. Through Jesus, He conquered sin and death, proving His absolute power and love. He is faithful to fulfill His promises and sovereign in establishing His kingdom through His people.

What are the ways of God?

God works through suffering to bring salvation, through obedience to bring victory, and through the weak to reveal His strength. His ways are redemptive — turning tragedy into triumph and crucifixion into resurrection. He builds His Church not by human might but by the power of His Spirit.

What are His characters?

God is merciful, powerful, and unstoppable. He is the God of resurrection — full of compassion, yet clothed in majesty and authority. His heart burns for the salvation of nations and the empowerment of His people.

Textured Paper

Let us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us give Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb has come [at last]

and HIS BRIDE (the redeemed) HAS PREPARED HERSELF.”

She has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean—for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

Then the angel said to me,

“Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”And he said to me [further],

“These are the true

and exact words of God.”
