Day 117 – The Revelation of Jesus Christ — Faithful and True

Introduction

You’ve reached Day 117 — what a remarkable milestone in your Bible journey! Today’s reading ushers us into the climactic revelation of Scripture — The Revelation of Jesus Christ. Before entering the visions of Revelation, we hear the closing voices of John’s short letters and Jude’s powerful exhortation.

In 2 and 3 John, the Apostle calls the Church to walk in truth and love, warning against deceivers who distort the message of Christ. Jude urges believers to “contend for the faith” and remain steadfast in the midst of growing apostasy.

Then Revelation opens heaven’s door, unveiling Jesus — not as the humble servant, but as the glorified King and eternal Judge. John beholds the risen Lord, radiant in glory, walking among His churches and calling them to purity, perseverance, and unwavering devotion.

Today’s passages mark a turning point — from the apostolic teachings to the unveiled majesty of Christ. The story that began in Genesis now stands at its divine conclusion: the Lamb who was slain reigns forevermore!

Who is God?

God is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is holy, sovereign, and eternal — the One who was, who is, and who is to come. He reigns over all creation, and every power and principality bow before His throne.

What are the ways of God?

God calls His people to stand firm in truth and holiness amid deception and corruption. He reveals His purposes through His Word and His Spirit, guiding His Church to overcome by faith and obedience. His ways lead from revelation to transformation, and from testing to glory.

What are His characters?

God is faithful, just, and true. He is merciful to the repentant, patient with the weak, and powerful against evil. His character radiates purity, righteousness, and majesty — He is the light that pierces all darkness.

Prayer

Father, thank You for revealing Jesus, the Faithful and True One. Open my eyes to see His glory and my heart to walk in His truth. Help me stand firm against deception and live in readiness for His return. Let my worship rise like incense before Your throne. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
