Today’s Reading: Acts 8–17
Saturday, 11th October 2025
Introduction
Congratulations on reaching Day 103 of your Bible reading journey! You’ve now entered one of the most exciting parts of the New Testament — the unstoppable spread of the Gospel. From Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth, the early believers carry the message of Jesus with boldness and supernatural power.
Acts 8–17 reveals how persecution became a platform for expansion. Philip preaches in Samaria, Saul becomes Paul, Peter opens the door to the Gentiles, and Paul begins his missionary journeys. The Church grows, not by comfort, but by conviction; not by wealth, but by witness. Every chapter burns with the fire of God’s purpose — that all nations may know Him.
Your perseverance in reading God’s Word mirrors the perseverance of those early believers. Keep pressing on — God is forming in you the same passion that turned the world upside down.
Who is God?
God is the Lord of the Harvest. He empowers His people to carry His message beyond borders and barriers. He is sovereign in sending, mighty in power, and compassionate toward the lost. His presence goes with His people wherever they go.
What are the ways of God?
God multiplies His work through ordinary people filled with His Spirit. He uses both triumph and trial to advance His kingdom. His ways break cultural, racial, and spiritual boundaries — revealing that the Gospel is for all humanity.
What are His characters?
God is missionary in nature — generous, patient, and powerful. He is faithful to guide, bold to confront evil, and gracious to redeem the most unlikely people. His character shines through His Church as it moves in obedience and love.
Golden Nugget
“When the Spirit of God moves, no wall can stand, no persecution can silence, and no boundary can contain the Gospel.”
