Today’s Reading: 1 Corinthians 3–16
Wednesday, 15th October 2025
Introduction
Congratulations on reaching Day 107 of your Bible reading journey! You are now diving into one of Paul’s most instructive letters to the early Church — a letter filled with correction, wisdom, and revelation about how God’s people should live and serve together.
In today’s reading, Paul teaches the Corinthian believers how to build God’s house with purity, unity, and spiritual power. He addresses divisions, immorality, misuse of spiritual gifts, and the importance of love — reminding us that the Church is not built by talent or status but by the Spirit of God.
From chapters 12 to 14, Paul unfolds the mystery of spiritual gifts — given not for personal glory but for the edification of the Body. Then, in chapter 15, he crowns the message with the glorious hope of the resurrection, declaring victory over death through Jesus Christ.
These chapters call us to mature faith — to live by love, walk in order, serve with humility, and fix our eyes on eternity.
Who is God?
God is the Builder and Sustainer of His Church. He is the source of every spiritual gift and the One who brings unity through His Spirit. He is a God of order, love, and resurrection power — faithful to establish His people in righteousness.
What are the ways of God?
God builds His Kingdom through humility, servanthood, and the power of the Holy Spirit. His ways call believers to unity, purity, and sacrificial love. He distributes spiritual gifts according to His will so that each member of the Body can contribute to His purpose.
What are His characters?
God is wise, holy, patient, and full of love. He delights in harmony among His children and empowers them to walk in truth. He is the God of life, who brings victory out of death and strength out of weakness.
