Today’s Reading: Hebrews 2–11
Date: Wednesday, 22nd October 2025
Introduction
Congratulations on reaching Day 114 of your Bible reading journey! You’ve come so far in exploring the story of God’s redemption. Today’s reading in the book of Hebrews unveils one of the most powerful truths in Scripture — the call to live by faith.
Hebrews begins by revealing the supremacy of Christ — greater than angels, prophets, or the old covenant system. In these chapters, we are invited to draw near to God with confidence, to hold fast to our confession of faith, and to fix our eyes on Jesus, our Great High Priest.
Hebrews 11, often called the “Hall of Faith,” recounts the lives of those who trusted God against all odds — Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, and many others. They lived not by sight but by faith, looking forward to promises not yet seen.
Faith is not blind optimism; it is confident trust in the unchanging God who keeps His word. The just shall live by faith — this is the heartbeat of the believer’s walk with God.
Who is God?
God is faithful and unchanging. He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and the Author of every promise fulfilled in His time. He is both the Object and the Source of our faith — perfect, eternal, and true.
What are the ways of God?
God’s ways are higher than ours. He calls His people to walk by faith, not by sight. He works through testing to strengthen our trust and through waiting to refine our obedience. His timing is perfect, and His promises never fail.
What are His characters?
God is trustworthy, patient, merciful, and righteous. He never lies nor changes His mind. He is a God who remembers, rewards, and fulfills every word spoken — even when the fulfillment seems delayed.
Golden Nugget
“Faith is not believing that God can — it is knowing that He will, in His perfect time and way. The just shall live by faith.”
Prayer
Father, thank You for calling me to live by faith. Help me to trust You even when I do not see the outcome. Strengthen my heart to hold on to Your promises and to walk confidently in Your word. May my faith bring You glory and inspire others to believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Activation Challenge
Reflect: What areas of your life require deeper faith in God’s promises?
Respond: Declare God’s word over one situation that seems uncertain or delayed.
