Day 79: God’s Justice and Faithfulness

Today’s Reading: Jeremiah 41–50

Date: Wednesday, 17th September 2025

To the Faithful Readers

Today’s chapters focus on God’s justice against sin and His faithfulness to His covenant promises. Jeremiah 41–50 records the consequences of rebellion, the judgments upon nations, and God’s protection of His faithful. As you read, reflect on the balance of God’s justice and mercy, and the assurance that His plans for restoration and blessing remain steadfast.

Reading Instructions

Read Jeremiah 41–50 attentively. Note God’s judgments on those who oppose Him and His care for His people. Reflect on how God’s justice and faithfulness work together in your personal life and the life of the nations.

  • God exercises justice against rebellion and wickedness.

  • God remains faithful to those who trust Him and keep His covenant.

  • God calls His people to repentance, warning them of consequences while offering hope.

  • God orchestrates history to fulfill His plans and purposes.

3. What Is His Character?

  • Faithful – He fulfills promises and protects His people.

  • Just – He ensures that sin and rebellion are addressed.

  • Sovereign – His control extends over nations, events, and hearts.

  • Merciful – Even in judgment, He offers a path to restoration for the repentant.

and HIS BRIDE (the redeemed) HAS PREPARED HERSELF.”

She has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean—for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

Then the angel said to me,

“Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”And he said to me [further],

“These are the true

and exact words of God.”
