Today’s Reading: Ezekiel 44–48 & Daniel 1–5
Date: Tuesday, 23rd September 2025
To the Faithful Readers
Today marks a powerful transition: you complete Ezekiel with visions of God’s glory returning to His temple, and you enter Daniel, where faithfulness and God’s sovereignty are displayed in the midst of exile. These readings remind us that God restores His people, rules over nations, and uses ordinary people to accomplish His purposes.
Reading Instructions
Read Ezekiel 44–48 carefully, noticing how God reorganizes worship, appoints leaders, and restores His dwelling among His people. Then read Daniel 1–5, reflecting on Daniel’s faithfulness, God’s wisdom, and His sovereign control over kings and kingdoms.
Guided Devotional
1. Who is God?
The Holy Dweller – His glory returns to the temple, filling it with His presence (Ezekiel 43:1–5).
The Sovereign King – He humbles kings like Nebuchadnezzar and controls the rise and fall of nations (Daniel 4:28–37).
The Revealer of Mysteries – He grants understanding and insight to those who seek Him (Daniel 2:28).
The Restorer of His People – He brings His scattered people into order and blessing.
2. What Are the Ways of God?
God restores His presence among His people, bringing peace and hope.
God gives wisdom and insight to those who remain faithful under pressure.
God humbles the proud and elevates the righteous.
God uses His people as witnesses of His glory in every nation.
3. What Is His Character?
Faithful – God fulfills His promises of restoration.
Glorious – His presence transforms His people and places.
Sovereign – He rules over kings and nations without exception.
Just – He rewards obedience and corrects rebellion.
Golden Nugget
God’s presence restores, and His sovereignty reveals that no power on earth can rival Him. Faithfulness in His kingdom always brings blessing and protection.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for restoring Your presence among Your people and revealing Your sovereignty over all nations. Help me to live faithfully like Daniel, trust Your wisdom, and reflect Your glory in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
