Day 94 - Theme: Living the Kingdom Life — A Call to Radical Discipleship

Today’s Reading: Matthew 7–16

Thursday, 2nd October 2025

Introduction

Having witnessed the arrival of the King and the proclamation of His kingdom, today’s reading calls us deeper into the heart of what it means to follow Him. Jesus continues the Sermon on the Mount with profound teachings that challenge our values, redefine righteousness, and invite us to a higher standard of life. As we move through chapters 8–16, we see the kingdom of God not only spoken but demonstrated — through miracles, deliverance, authority, and a radical invitation to follow Him without compromise. This is not a call to casual belief; it is a summons to discipleship that costs everything and transforms everything.

Who is God?

God is the King of the Kingdom, sovereign over all creation. He is faithful to His promises, powerful to act, and loving toward His people. He is righteous, just, and full of mercy, calling humanity into obedience and relationship.

What are the ways of God?

God’s ways are consistent with His character. He rewards faithfulness, calls for repentance, brings healing, and demonstrates His power through miracles. His ways often challenge human understanding but are always perfect and purposeful.

What are His characters?

God is faithful, loving, just, patient, and holy. He is compassionate toward the humble, strong against wickedness, and desires intimacy with those who follow Him wholeheartedly. His character is revealed in both His words and His works.

Golden Nugget

Discipleship is more than following teachings — it’s following a King. His call is radical, His authority unmatched, and His kingdom worth everything.

Prayer

Father, I choose the narrow path that leads to life. Teach me to obey Your Word wholeheartedly and to walk in the authority You’ve given me in Christ. Strengthen me to follow You even when it costs everything. Let Your kingdom grow in me and advance through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Activation Challenge

Reflect: Are you building your life on obedience to Jesus’ words or just hearing them?Respond: Step out in faith this week and pray for someone who needs healing, freedom, or encouragement.Renew: Surrender one area of your life that you’ve held back and declare Jesus as King over it.

She has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean—for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

Then the angel said to me,

“Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”And he said to me [further],

“These are the true

and exact words of God.”
