SATURATED WITH THE WORD OF GOD
Scripture
“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.” — Psalm 1:2 (NKJV)
Message
What fills your mind will eventually influence the direction of your life.
Every day, we receive information from different sources. Conversations, social media, entertainment, education, personal experiences, and the opinions of others all compete for our attention. While some of this information may be useful, not everything we encounter will help us grow in the wisdom and knowledge of God.
This is why the Word of God must occupy a central place in our lives.
Psalm 1 describes the person who delights in God's Word and meditates on it continually. Such a person is compared to a tree planted by rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in its season. The picture is one of stability, nourishment, and fruitfulness.
Notice that the tree does not produce fruit because it struggles to look fruitful. It bears fruit because it is planted where it can receive nourishment.
Likewise, spiritual fruitfulness grows as we remain rooted in God's truth. When we consistently read, meditate on, and obey Scripture, our thinking begins to change. We become better equipped to recognize what pleases God, resist temptation, make wise decisions, and remain faithful during difficult seasons.
Reading the Bible should therefore be more than completing a daily assignment. It should be an intentional pursuit of God's wisdom. As you read, ask yourself: What is God revealing about His character? What does this teach me about His will? What must I change or obey?
Make room for the Word every day. Establish a reading plan, meditate on what you learn, and put it into practice. As taught in The Issuing Authority, the first investment in advancing God's Kingdom is to allow His knowledge and wisdom to shape your inner life.
Do not merely carry a Bible; allow its truth to govern your life.
Golden Nugget
A life rooted in God's Word develops the stability, wisdom, and fruitfulness needed to fulfil His purposes.

Prayer
Father, give me a deeper hunger for Your Word. Forgive me for the times I have allowed distractions and daily responsibilities to take priority over spending time with You. Help me develop the discipline to read, meditate on, and obey Scripture consistently. Let Your truth shape my thoughts, influence my decisions, and guide my conduct. Plant me firmly in Your wisdom so that I may remain faithful in every season. May my life produce lasting fruit that honours You and blesses others. Teach me not only to hear Your Word but also to live by it every day.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

What a timely message this is. Thank you for encouraging me to go forward in soaking my life in the Word of God.
