WALKING IN THE WISDOM OF GOD
Scripture
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” — James 1:22 (NKJV)
Message
God does not give us His Word merely to increase our knowledge. He gives it to guide our lives.
It is possible to listen to sermons, attend Bible studies, read Scripture regularly, and still fail to apply what God teaches. We may understand the importance of forgiveness but continue holding grudges. We may know that prayer is essential yet remain inconsistent. We may understand the call to integrity but compromise when doing the right thing becomes costly.
James reminds us that hearing the Word without obeying it can lead to self-deception.
True understanding is demonstrated through application. When we receive God's wisdom, we must allow it to influence our choices, habits, relationships, and responsibilities.
This principle is central to The Issuing Authority. God entrusted humanity with responsibility on earth, but that responsibility was never intended to be exercised independently of Him. We are called to administer what He has entrusted to us according to His wisdom and instructions.
Consider a person who receives instructions for a task but chooses to ignore them. Possessing the instructions does not guarantee that the task will be completed correctly. In the same way, knowing God's Word is not the same as living according to it.
Obedience is the bridge between what we know and how we live.
Perhaps God has already shown you an area where you need to make a change. You may need to forgive someone, restore honesty in a relationship, become more disciplined in prayer, or faithfully fulfil a responsibility you have neglected.
Do not postpone obedience while waiting for another message or a more convenient season. Begin with what God has already made clear through His Word.
As you walk in His wisdom, your life becomes a practical expression of the truth you have received.
Golden Nugget
The wisdom you receive from God becomes fruitful when you put it into practice.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your Word as a guide for my life. Forgive me for the times I have heard Your truth without putting it into practice. Give me a willing heart and the courage to obey You, even when obedience requires sacrifice or change. Show me the areas where I have been careless, inconsistent, or resistant to Your instructions. Help me become disciplined in prayer, faithful in my responsibilities, and consistent in living according to Scripture. May my life demonstrate the wisdom I have received from You. Let my obedience bring glory to Your name and advance Your purposes on earth.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
