WHAT IS REALLY SUSTAINING YOUR LIFE?
Scripture
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” — Deuteronomy 8:3
Message
We understand that physical food is necessary for our bodies, but Jesus revealed a deeper reality: human beings need more than physical provision to truly live.
There is a part of us that can only be nourished by God.
We can have food, money, education, possessions, relationships, and success, yet still lack the spiritual strength needed to fulfill God's purpose. Physical provision sustains the body, but God's Word nourishes the inner life and gives us direction for our journey.
God created humanity to live under His authority and according to His wisdom. His Word therefore is not an optional addition to our lives—it is essential to our Kingdom identity.
Think about how easily we prioritize physical needs while neglecting spiritual nourishment. We may spend hours feeding our bodies, developing our careers, consuming information, and pursuing entertainment, yet give very little attention to feeding our spirits with God's truth.
Jesus' words challenge us to examine our priorities.
What are you feeding your inner life?
Whatever consistently enters your mind and heart will eventually influence your decisions. If we continually consume voices that contradict God's truth, our thinking can gradually drift away from His wisdom. But when we consistently feed on His Word, our understanding becomes anchored in truth.
Make God's Word part of your daily life. Do not wait until you are spiritually weak before you seek nourishment.
Golden Nugget
Your body needs food to survive, but your spirit needs God's Word to live according to His purpose.

Prayer
Father, thank You for giving me Your Word as nourishment, guidance, and truth. Forgive me for the times I have allowed the demands of life to become more important than feeding my spirit. Give me a deeper hunger for Your presence and Your Word. Help me to build a consistent habit of reading, meditating on, and obeying Scripture. Guard my heart from influences that weaken my faith and distort Your truth. May Your Word become my daily bread and shape the way I think, speak, and live. Let me grow strong in You and become a faithful representative of Your Kingdom on earth.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
